April 15th, 2010

While there are many academic journals curently in prin that cover the fields of psychology, psychiatry, behavioral development, and related areas, the creation of additional venues for academic study and peer review is welcomed by many in the community. A warm reception may be waiting, therefore, for a new journal recently announced by the University of the Rockies. The journal, entitled the Journal of Psychological Issues in Organizational Culture, is set to support and explore the institution’s dedication to psychological inquiry. The journal is the first to be created by the college, a post-graduate institution focused on psychology.

it is great news for the psychology field in general and for the university in particular…should do a lot in instilling confidence and also enhancing zeal in the people working in this field.

While it is not often that one would come across a psychology journal, this surely comes as no surprise because the work of this particular university to the field of psychology has been unparalleled.Kudos!

Okay, great – where is University of Rockies APA accreditation. So you cruise through the curriculum and “graduate” with a Psy D – no APA accreditation = no EPPP licensure (No APA accreditation means no license to practice psychology).

IF University of the Rockies gets APA accredited then you can get happy because your Psy D degree is worth more than teaching at a community college or the benefit of calling yourself a Doctor.
