There is not a job in the world that does not hold some level of workplace stress and anxiety. That is just the way it is. Doesn't mean we have to like it and it would be nice if more companies gave us the tools to better deal with what we face but the reality is that the stress is real and the best thing we can do is make the most of our jobs and remember that that should not be what our lives revolve around anyway.

It is because of the unwarranted call for excessive competition... everybody wants to outrun the other and get ahead...this may have lead to rise in economic conditions, but health is deteriorating at an alarming pace.

Prejudice is another biiiig reason why there is so much of work stress. Ask any hard working honest immigrant and they would say so. Work is definitely not all there is to a day. Postponing relaxation is also another stress button.

longer breaks, flexible work-hours and no work on weekends is what is required to eradicate this plague.Organizations might be wary of doing this as it means loss of revenue. But a lot more revenue is lost due to ill-health of the employees...thus,if these measures are followed, they can not only have smaller losses but can also have a happy work-force,which will surely result in better work output.

Um, why do work places hold so much stress for their workers? Maybe it is time for them to look at some of the morons that they have in management positions. That right there would probably answer a lot of their questions in a flash.

I feel the ruthless challenges and the cut-throat competition is leading to these kind of problems at the work place... it is because of the same cause that employers are unhappy with the team-leaders and team-leaders with the team-members...it is a chain reaction... needs to be controlled at the source...maybe we are just running too fast...?
