The inspiration for a recent study into the potential of certain video games to improve mood may be a bit non-traditional. The study’s sponsor, PopCap Games, was contacted by a player professing to have experienced significant relief in a mentally and emotionally turbulent period by playing one of the simple games offered online by the company. Upon studying the impact of game play on participants, the researchers involved found that playing was associated with elevated mood and improved heart rhythms. Excited about the findings, the company is engaged in further trials to assess possible benefits for those experiencing depression.

I enjoy gaming. It definitely puts me in a better mood when I’m fed up to spend a couple of hours playing. Bejeweled is an easy game that is perfect for passing time. Yahoo Games has it. As long as you pick a sedate game, it works.
I can avoid fights, chores anything when I am playing a game. My wife knows that every conversation, accusation is futile when it is time to play. :)
Harmless passtime to help you forget about the troubles of real life. Nothing wrong with that.
