This is not right- we have to do a better job teaching our kids that if they are getting bullied or if they are the ones doing the bullying then that is wrong and has to be put to a stop.

There are too many kids getting hurt on a daily basis on school playgrounds and neighborhoods because of bullies and the meanness that they direct toward others. It is not fair for anyone to have to endure this!

exposure to bullying may lead kids to different psychological disorders and may even spun the growth of hatred towards anybody in general and may create a bully out of the victim himself... it needs to be checked by both-the parents as well as the school.

Kids should be told by their parents constantly that being bullied is not their mistake and if any such thing occurs, they ought to tell it to them immediately without any fear and can be sure to have their parents' support. This will surely calm them down more if they are being bullied.

For years I was the target of bullies at school, and for varying reasns. It seemed that either I was too tall, too skinny, too poor, whatever. They always came up with an excuse as to why I was not good enough. It made me feel like crap but I never went home and told my parents or told a teacher. Why? I was afraid that somehow they would show me how this was really all my fault and they would not stand up for me. Sometimes kids are so worn down by the bullying that they think that in some way they deserve what is going on with them which makes it hard for them to tell anyone and therefore do something about it. I hope that with more talks about the dangers of bullying both at home and in the classroom we can help them see that this is never their fault to be on the receiving end of this sort of behavior!

How sad that kids accept bullying as a way of life! We have to teach them that it is not right for anyone to bully them and that they need to report what is going on to an adult before someone gets hurt.

i was a constant target in school and was bullied a lot... i refused to go to school and there was a big problem at home due to this...it even resulted in me losing an academic year.then when my parents got a wind of it,they consulted the school authorities and they had tougher regulations regarding bullying and that is when my nightmare ended.i believe i was pretty lucky to have got away from the problem without suffering from any psychological problem, which is occuring in an alarming percentage of kids that are bullied nowadays.

We need to talk more and more on this issue...to such a level that children feel it is fine to come out and speak to their parents openly about being bullied in school.

The children see no-one taking action so assume nothing will change. Apathy is destroying community values everywhere. Don't let it happen in your neighborhood. Protect your kids and your neighbor's kids from this violence and report it.

And who teaches the children that bullying is a "normal" part of life? The teachers who turn a blind eye to it. The parents who ignore the child telling them it's happening. The other children, just glad it's not them being picked on, that don't help the victim. Inaction, the refusal of every single one of them to do what they know is right, is where this attitude stems from.

I have been bullied as a child.not very serios bt yes it has happened to me.i can still recall that i though it was all my mistake.i would not want my parents to know of it and if a friend tried telling my parents i would run helter skelter.this probably explains the silent suffering kids go through during a bullying period.
