Freud’s Granddaughter Explores Artistic Side with Exhibition

For most people, Sigmund Freud is remembered for his vast contributions to the field of psychology ad for the effects his work has had on modern psychotherapy. To his granddaughter, Jane McAdams Freud, however, the man is also remembered for the statues and other pieces of classical art in his collection, pieces which have served as inspiration for her newly-opened exhibition at the London Centre for Psychotherapy. The collection, entitled “Atonement,” suggests how the psychoanalyst’s career may have looked to the outside world had be devoted his efforts to art rather than science.

it would be interesting to see the interest of such a person who contributed greately to the filed of psychotherapy.
i just think art collections of famous people are worth huge bucks and it is going to be no different in this case. maybe that is the reason why the exhibition is being held in the first place. but atleast it will remind us of his services to the field.
How wonderful that his granddaughter is continuing on with this pioneering work- great way to connect even more people to many of Freud’s groundbreaking ideas.
How does all of this creativity end up in one person and I could not be creative or artistic to save my life?
