The 4 year old that was killed must have been judged to be no longer "at risk". I wonder when the laws and thresholds the Department of Children and Family Services work under were last reviewed. Social workers must be very special people to be able to handle the stress and responsibility that goes with their job, knowing that every day the choice they make could end in tragedy.
