Though focusing on students is understandably common at most universities, some are also interested in attending to the needs of young children and of families, as exemplified this week by Edge Hill University in Liverpool, which is planning a number of special events to celebrate the UK’s National Family Week. With workshops and lectures concentrating on the psychological well-being of children both in school and at home, the University hopes to help many educators, therapists, and other related professionals gain a greater understanding of their potential to change lives and help young people thrive, even in the most challenging of family settings and situations.

family week is something that needs to be celebrated every week every where- too bad that it has to be named something special in order to get people to be celebrating and being thankful for everyday already but I guess it’s a good start- better than nothing! :-)

It is a great idea to show to people how important all this is and is a kind of warning to most of us,who take our families and a thriving family environment for granted.

young people can really make a difference and to have a university spread awareness on issues that affect most households is a good thing because they can have their student volunteers really help the situation by talking and explaining to people about all this.
