My work blends my backgrounds in clinical social work and therapeutic bodywork. I attend to the relationship between our life experiences, habits of thought and emotion, and the body, and the many ways this bodily felt sense of Self impacts our lives physically and emotionally over the span of a lifetime. I accompany clients as they discover and explore the "inner landscape" of this subtle internal awareness and learn what it can teach them about resolving current and/or long-standing challenges.
More Info About My Practice
My bodywork background and experience are in movement re-education and the release of holding patterns in the body that may trigger pain, limited function, or emotional issues. These patterns commonly occur in all of us in response to thoughts, feelings, painful life events, or injuries. Gentle movement-focused bodywork or movement coaching -- especially as an adjunct to counseling -- helps clients identify, access, and resolve deep patterns of tension and the associated emotions.
