In a safe, supportive environment we will work together to identify and gently move you past the thoughts, attitudes, feelings and behaviors that have been keeping you from living a more joyful and fulfilling life. In addition to maintaining a general practice, I offer specialized treatment and expertise for clients struggling with Sex & Love Addiction, (including compulsive internet activity), sexual inhibition & anorexia, as well as codependent behaviors. Drawing upon a solid foundation of postgraduate psychoanalytic ecucation & other clinical training, my therapeutic approach is determined, first and foremost, by your individual situation and specific needs. When appropriate, I combine an interactive, psychodynamic orientation with such diverse methodologies as cognitive-behavorial, EMDR, 12-Step recovery and Inner Child work. I welcome, and work sensitively with, clients from a broad range of backgrounds, sexual orientations & professions, including many from the creative & performing arts, or those engaged in high public profile positions. In addition to individual sessions, I also work within the Group therapy modality. These once weekly psychodynamic, process-oriented groups focus upon recovery from sexually addictive-anorexic behaviors. A safe, intimate (limited to 6-7 members), confidential & comfortable setting supports deep, rich experiential sharing among participants at various stages of recovery. A powerful clinical supplement to one's individual treatment &/or current 12 Step recovery work.
