My Approach to Helping
I am warm, compassionate and interactive. I work to deeply understand you and empathize with your challenges. For distressed couples, I guide you to practice proven ways to replace patterns that disconnect or hurt you, create safety and depth to your relationship, bridge differences (cultural, personality, life-style) between you, recover from past hurts (including affairs), and lessen the negative impact of past trauma and abuse. For individuals, we create together a personalized approach to help you heal or grow to have more satisfying connections with others and/or with yourself (your emotions, creativity, purpose and meaning, and potential).

Using talk therapy, I will focus with you on your feelings, your heart and soul, your physiology, your memories and beliefs, and your experience and behavior. My training includes psychodynamic, interpersonal and cognitive-behavioral approaches, mindfulness, and a special focus on cross-cultural issues, trauma and sexual abuse, anxiety and depression.
