My Approach to Helping
Are you troubled by constant worry; avoiding people, places and situations because of anxiety? Do you have attacks that cause you to think you're "going crazy" or going to die? Perhaps you try forcing yourself to stay calm, only to suffer overwhelming panic once again. Don't give up. You don't have to accept your fate. You can reclaim your life and enjoy living again.

My specialty is helping people just like you who yearn to overcome their fears and rejoin the living. Have the courage to reach out just one more time. Your situation can change. You can gain control through supportive, effective counseling where you'll feel accepted, develop awareness and learn new skills.

My Role as a Therapist

I often joke that my role as a therapist is to comfort the distressed and distress the comfortable, but I honestly see my role is to be a mentor, a guide, a confidante and cheerleader. People come to therapists for many different reasons and each may need something different from their counselor. The service I provide will vary depending on your needs, not the way I work. It is not my role to make you conform to my idea of who you should be or how you should act.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

I offer phone consultation at no charge for up to 30 minutes. During this consultation, you may ask any questions your have regarding services, fees, my treatment perspective, what to expecct on your first session and insurance payment and out of network services. This is not a treatment session, though potential clients often share something about their presenting concerns.
