Groups I Work With
I have an advanced Doula certification and provide education and counseling to women and their families on matters regarding fertility challenges, prenatal counseling and postpartum adjustment. My study with midwives locally and abroad supported my choice to safely birth two babies at home, in water, naturally, with my loved-ones nearby. I also work comfortably with death and dying as well as other significant life transitions and adjustments such as menopause and menses.

I am also a Forensic Psychologist who works with severely mentally ill individuals that have been incarcerated. My extensive work with this population has given me a deep understanding of the complex systems these individuals interface with on a regular basis. I comfortably navigate through each one and provide assessment, consultation and counseling services upon request.

My work with this population inspired me to support the men and women who serve them and protect our communities. I have been trained to work with the secondary trauma of first responders using EMDR techniques as well as other somatic therapies. I also train first responders in how to identify and provide effective support for the mentally ill individuals in their communities.

As a result of all this exposure I have been a graduate professor of Forensic and Counseling psychology at Argosy University for the last 5 years. I am skilled at developing curriculum and delivering course content to large and small groups, both in person and on-line.
