My Approach to Helping
Are you one of the many that are feeling that their relationships are leaving much to be desired? Whether it be with your spouse (or significant other), your family, or your friends, there are so many stressors that can begin to wear down on your relationships: children, work, money, communication issues, addictions-to name a few.
My passion for the field of psychotherapy is driven by the opportunity it gives me to help others persevere through challenging times and work toward solutions in their lives. Healthy, functional relationships are what I desire to collaborate with you to achieve.
It is important to me that you feel as comfortable as possible when exploring difficult issues, so I strive to create a warm and caring therapeutic environment for everyone that enters my office.
My approach to counseling- called Solution-Focused Therapy- helps people identify solutions to problems so they can change behavior and resolve issues that cause distress. Using SFT will allow you to envision a future without the problem and identify the steps that need to be taken to make your hopes for a better future a reality.
