My Approach to Helping

When I first meet with clients we talk about what is happening in their lives. What do they love? What is working well and what is not? What do they want to see shift, or change. In these conversations people have described feelings of being trapped, overwhelmed, or at a crossroads, uncertain of what steps they might take to ease their pain or discomfort. Making the decision to seek therapy is a reflection of their inner strength, hope and courage. Together we build on these strengths, tailoring our work to fit their specific needs and goals.

I enjoy working with individuals and families confronting challenging transitions, life threatening or chronic illness, anxiety, depression and trauma. Together we work to highlight and tap into their unique personal strengths and abilities, increase their self-awareness and identify strategies to create the outcome that feels right and will work for them.
