Compassionate Nonviolent Communication

Presented by Rachelle Lamb on 08-07-2009 at 9 a.m. Pacific to 10:30 a.m. Pacific (1:30 p.m. Eastern)

Communication has tremendous power. It is the cornerstone of all personal and professional relationships and can either inspire cooperation or stimulate adversity. Recognized as a masterwork, Compassionate Nonviolent Communication (NVC) raises the bar in communication as it methodically breaks through old limiting patterns and replaces them with a powerful way of communicating that is deeply satisfying and ultimately liberating.

In this session Rachelle Lamb will examine the impact speech has on us and others in shaping our experiences and relationships and how the NVC process is used to facilitate genuine connection and understanding between human beings in a variety of situations.

Topics covered in this course include:

  • Intention in dialogue
  • Alienating thinking and language
  • Empathy and understanding
  • Honesty and vulnerability
  • Universal needs
  • NVC dialogue process

Declaration identifying any potential conflict of interest and/or commercial support: None.
